3rd CA Detachment
The 3rd California Honors & Homeland Security recently received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Department of Veterans Affairs which cited the 3rd for performing 726 military honors for deceased veterans at the Riverside National Cemetery. The 3rd has, according to VA records donated 6688 hours of service thus far. It should be noted that the 3rd has also performed some 50 services for veterans at other cemeteries in the Inland Empire. It's new commander, LTC David Crippen has said that he is very honored to assume the leadership of an organization with such a distinguished record. The 9th Brigade Commander Col. Bill Holland congratulated the 3rd detachment on its' achievement.
