Our Goal
We are confident that a nationwide structure of volunteer soldiers can readily be organized and trained to support America’s active duty and reserve forces. Our extensive experience with state defense forces, military retiree organizations, and the other two established Auxiliaries places the American Volunteer Reserve in a unique position to serve as the entity to develop this concept.
The AVR goal of
harnessing the abilities and talents of a variety of similarly-minded
citizens — screening them, training them for appropriate duties and enabling them to be part of a larger
and properly mandated and monitored national military Auxiliary — is indeed a big plan, with
the magic to stir the blood.
